It's a strange sensation that leads you to want to 'go out' or feel that you should do something a bit more relaxing or special at the weekend.
Neither of us has worked full time for nearly twenty years but still the feelings persist. A weekday is a regular day but weekends are special, it's all very strange.
What makes it all a bit more strange is that we don't do anything special at weekends anyway.
I always used to complain about pensioners doing their shopping on a Saturday, shuffling round town and clogging up the supermarket aisles, getting in the way of people who are working all week and have no option but to do their shopping at the weekend.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm one of hem, I really enjoy shopping at the weekend and taking it easy during the week !!
And I don't give a toss who it annoys !!

DeleteWe're the same, strangely enough. We have all week, and yet we tend to do a shop on a Saturday more often than not! Old habits die hard I suppose.
