Get rid of that sticky mess

For ages I've been trying to remove a particularly nasty residual glue, from the windscreens of the cars, left behind after taking out old insurance company holders.
If you have the same or similar problems then here's the answer. We were shopping in Lakeland the other day, Jan's favourite store, alongside Marks and Spencer, John Lewis and about 20 others, and she pointed out a product that she uses for similar jobs.
Sticky Stuff Remover Gel really works. It shifted glue that had hardened in the sun and had resisted all attempts to scrape it off. Good stuff.

  1. Hello Alex:
We have never shopped in Lakeland but are always fascinated by the catalogues which appear in so many magazines and Sunday newspapers.

Lakeland does seem to have something for every situation and has a million things [or more] that one never realised that one could not live without. Clearly the glue remover is just one such essential.

  2. Hi Jane, you are so right. A store packed full of everything that you never knew you needed, and it's all good stuff. When we visited Harrogate (from France) it was usually Jan's first stop.

  3. I think that Lakeland is brilliant too. If I remember correctly... aren't they from Cumbria and their flagship (huge) store is there somewhere?

  4. A real commercial success story. They started in Windermere in the lake district so presumably that's where their name originated. We have a store in Harrogate and it's one of Jan's first stops. I have to say that what they sell is very good, innovative and by and large it all works.
