Where's my horse

I don't normally do rain but I was feeling guilty.
Guilty, as in I hadn't yet worn Jan's birthday present to me (cos I don't do rain, remember?), but today was the day.
I'd always fancied a stockman's coat, one like the cowboys used to wear as they rode into town in the rain, looking for somebody to kill. Jan, bless her, bought me one on our arrival in England. She seemed to think it might rain. How pessimistic is that?
'Do I look good in this?' I asked hopefully, 'or do I look like a prat?'
I could tell by her laughter that she was happy.

  1. Alex you can single-handedly test the waterproof claims of the Barbour whilst walking Max and Minnie. Good thinking Jan.

  2. Sou'wester coming later?

Well, you might as well look complete ......

  3. I rather like it. Are they a Yorkshire thing? For some reason I thought they were Australian (but the lack of rain there wouldn't seem to fit).

  4. Ivan, thanks for your support. Somehow I knew that I could rely on you.
Craig, I think you're right. Driza-bone were probably the first to sell them in the UK. Mine keeps me dry and warm so I lend it to Jan to walk the dog. I should think it would be good for you given your recent weather.

  6. Oh come on Jan... I thought that he looked like the grim reaper in his Sunday best. He needs a hood to complete the look?
