A little trip out


We always said that we'd explore more when we were in France but once the dogs came along that became a bit more difficult, so we didn't.
However, we are trying to change that as we live here. Yesterday was a case in point. Neither of us had ever visited a 14C moated manor house before and there is one just near us, about ten minutes away.
Markenfield Hall has a fascinating history and was first mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086. Rather than copy chunks from the history tab, click on the link and take a look yourself.

    It's nice to see a photo of the house you and Jan bought in the UK. How does Jan get all the cleaning done? And you keep up the gardens nicely...
