Damned if you do

Has anyone else noticed the amount of negative press at the moment? I'm starting to find it quite wearisome and unnecessary. This article summed it all up nicely for me. It's almost as if, post Leveson, with nothing salacious to write, newspapers are struggling to publish balanced and sensible criticism and or comment.

  1. I couldn't agree more. Both the unending negativity of the press in this country and the ridiculous notion that the Cameron's somehow shouldn't take a holiday because of the murder in Woolwich!
It's a uniquely British trait. When we lived in America we noticed that they hardly ever self criticize, even when there is plenty to argue over (such as the Connecticut shootings).
Like's hard enough without our press making it seem darker than it really is.

    1. Thanks Ivan. DH writes well and I now read him regularly.

  3. In keeping to his holiday plans the PM has done much more to diffuse the issue than the press, who stir up hatred by not letting it drop.
