Values
I don't normally do nostalgia, cos life moves on, but with all the crap going on around the country at the moment Ivan reminded me of a different set of values, so I've nicked this from him.
I needed that, thanks. There aren't many days when I need to turn off the news reports because I find it too depressing, but the last 24 hours that has been the case. Time for a glass of wine? OK I'll wait until 18.00.
I have a straw sticking out of the wine bottle next to me :-(
As I said on Ivan's FB, I adore Mark Knopfler, I love Jimmy Nail and this track is just spinetinglingly good.
Today, of all days, we need to have something to make us feel a little better. But great music can only salve the wound, it can't mend the broken heart that we are all suffering.
