Monday

Today was a Greek day. Moussaka for lunch with organic minced lamb.
Now I don't know about you but I don't do organic. In general I think it's a rip off (call it organic and charge a higher price - and what's organic anyway - something like 80% of 'organic' food is imported and every country has its own rules). Still, it was on offer at a substantially reduced price, so I decided that maybe organic wasn't so bad after all. Just call me fickle.

The evening snack was a Greek salad which I stuffed into a pitta bread to make a juicy, healthy sandwich. Love to all, Stavros.

  1. Looks amazing as usual. Do you eat like this every week, or are we getting special treatment? Jan must spend every waking hour in the kitchen!

  2. Interesting that you should say that Craig. We eat like this all the time. I asked Jan about the Greek salad and was it themed, she said no, she just looked in the fridge and saw some feta that needed using so made the salad. This exercise has made me realise how well we eat. Good eh?

  4. Thank you Jean & Craig for your kind comments. The fact is, I like to cook and Alex likes to eat, and we have the time to indulge our interest in food. I was brought up to 'waste not, want not' so consequently Alex does get left-overs quite often. He always complains, but then eats everything anyway. My problem is that I probably over cater. I got used to feeding 4 children, 3 of whom were boys who ate me out of house and home - then I met Alex!

It's been an interesting exercise. I haven't cooked anything specially, it's genuinely the way we eat, but the food photography could be better. Perhaps Alex needs a new camera, eh, Craig?!!
